Physiotherapy (from the Greek. phýsis nature and therapy), a branch of medicine studying medical properties of physical factors and develops methods of their use for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes.
Physical factors have an effect on the man throughout its evolution; therefore, physiotherapy treatments have on the body more physiological effects than many medicines. Physiotherapy trigger both nonspecific and specific responses. The latter is due to characteristics of the current factors and the pathological process and provide main therapeutic effect. Task F. – to achieve the greatest therapeutic effect with minimal stress on the body by enhancing specific and nonspecific attenuation of the components of the physical factors. For this last is often used in intermittent (pulsed) mode and in small doses. The choice of the factor, its dose and method of use, and combinations of several factors determined by the form and stage of the disease and the condition of the body. Physiotherapeutic tools are most effective in the initial stage of the disease functional disorders. In the complex of therapeutic measures applied to them also. the stages of treatment and medical rehabilitation with the aim of vozdeystviyna certain processes in the body at different levels, including cellular and molecular. The diversity of factors and procedures used in F. identifies opportunities individualized effects on the body and a directional influence on the pathological process without negative side effect. Most of us on the physical representation of the primitive: heating, irradiation with light and all that jazz. Actually, physiotherapy is a lot of different methods of treatment of diseases. About their capabilities, says physiotherapist Elena Lakinska.
Effectively, but is it safe?
“Physio” in Greek means “nature” – that is, treatment with natural or, as experts say, physical factors. At first glance, strange: in any clinic in the physiotherapy – solid technique, what’s the nature? The trick is that these methods of treatment based on the use of electrical, magnetic, electromagnetic fields, energy of light radiation, mechanical stress and so on. Is it safe for the child – a question that is often asked by parents, after all now heard about the negative effects of electrosmog and other unpleasant things. Actually, these are two different things.
Smart machines and devices, created by scientists, can achieve a very soft and gentle effects on the body. Such “intervention” much “more natural” (in the language of professionals – fizjologiczne) than, for example, the effects of many drugs and especially scalpel, because ispolzovanija factors the human body reacts much “safer”. Although, of course, one does not completely replace: the disease is different, and situations. Today, physical therapy can effectively treat (and prevent!) a variety of diseases: allergic, nervous system, ear-throat-nose, internal organs, skin, musculoskeletal system – you name it. Young patients such procedures like much better than pills or injections. And treatment of diseases with pleasure – another important success factor. In modern physiotherapy there are plenty of methods, let us consider the most common. Continue reading
